  1. Information gathering to determine teachers' instructional methods and practices, especially their strategies for supporting neurodiverse learners.
  2. Planning and management assistance to administrators and educators in areas such as scheduling, lesson planning, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), student records, information sharing, assessments, and more.
  3. Training, consultation, and technical support to staff on positive behavior strategies, classroom management, and effective practices in curriculum development, instruction, and service delivery.
  4. Supporting teachers in accessing resources available in both special and general education settings.
  5. Facilitating meetings among administrators, teachers, and families to address learning challenges and IEP objectives, fostering collaboration and problem-solving for students who need additional support.
  6. Providing recommendations, including strategies and tools that will improve student learning.

Inclusion in education is the understanding and practice of providing the variety of learners that exist in any given classroom with what they need to succeed. Given that this is a common gap in many educational institutions, our goal is to promote inclusion in Ghanaian schools by offering targeted workshops for teachers and administrators in areas agreed upon by the consultant and school administrators.

  1. Multi-tiered System of Support (MTSS). This is a framework that is used to help identify and support students’ academic, behavioral and social emotional needs.
  2. The Universal Design for Learning (UDL), a research-backed and evidence-based instructional approach that helps teachers plan and teach to diverse learning styles in the classroom.
  3. The Science of Reading - The role of Phonics instruction in Reading and Writing
  4. Visualizing and Verbalizing instruction to support reading comprehension
  5. Executive Function coaching. This is the provision of customized strategies to help students develop cognitive and organizational skills, by developing stronger self regulation to support learning.

  2. A comprehensive analysis of student’s needs.
  3. Recommendations for accommodations.
  4. School observations of students to develop a holistic picture of their challenges
  5. Meetings with teachers, other school staff, doctors, therapists, etc.
  6. Attendance at IEP and other meetings with parents
  7. Advocacy services for families seeking help with their child’s learning and social/emotional development needs
  8. Supporting the determination of eligibility for special education services
